I still dream about my old house

When I dream about my old house, I am usually aware of the fact that it is no longer my house, and I am either visiting or moving back in. I am a bit obsessed with the idea of translating something I see in my brain outwards into a physical form, so that other people could somehow understand it and experience it the way I did. I don’t think I am looking back in sadness all of the time, but rather I am assessing how things change and the feeling associated with those changes. It’s reconciling with the fact that something you loved can never be experienced again in exactly the same way. I love things so strongly that I will end up missing them eventually, and in this work I am trying to find a way to move backwards.
